The lighted dog harness by Noxgear Lighthound is a very attractive all-season 360° retro-reflective fluorescent illuminated dog harness with a convenient 12-hour lithium rechargeable battery. It has attention grabbing, multi-color and also flashing modes based on visual science (and 8 solid colors) that work in rain or shine in any season. It is lightweight, durable, machine washable and adjusts to any size dog easily. It’s also very easy to put on and take off of your dog now that they have added the leash attachment.
This Harness is so bright It’s visible Over 1/4 mile away!
I bought the XL size lighted harness for my 110 pound Great Pyrenees dog. He’s a fairly energetic young dog, and we take him on long walks in our neighborhood where there’s a good deal of traffic and parked cars where visibility can be obscured. I’ve tried many LED lighted collars, harnesses and vests but they didn’t come close to this one in terms of the brightness. Eight solid colors and the flashing beacon on this harness is really bright! On each walk we take there are usually one or two people in cars slowing down to ask us where we got the bright and colorful harness for our dog!
Besides safety in city traffic, I also Found another great reason to have this vest. Our dog once got loose in the woods while we were hiking and we had trouble finding him until it got dark and we spotted the lighted harness through the trees over 100 yards away. Since then, we’ve made sure he wears it anytime he’s with the family at outdoor events.
it’s a little more expensive, but isn’t safety worth it?
Noxgear LightHound Illuminated Harness is the best designed safety light harness I have found. Truly an innovative design.
The only two minor cons I can think of is that this harness is really more of a lighted vest than a nylon super-tough harness. It should be fine for most easy walking dogs but if your dog is like most dogs and will occasionally pull hard on the leash (like when a squirrel suddenly appears!) you may want to use both harnesses together for more control over your dog. The other minor con is the lack of a power cord. They are easy enough to find on one of your other devices if you need one. Otherwise, you just need to plug in the USB cable to your computer to charge.
Pros: Attractive design, bright, colorful, easy to get on and off, straps are easy to adjust.
Cons: A little pricey, not to be used without a sturdier nylon harness if your dog pulls excessively, no power cord included.
